While hunderds of people look for jobs here in San Francisco,The Bannana Republic store on Grant Ave has hired at least 59 foreign students to fill jobs in that store.
KPIX 5 found out this was happening and found out that Gap Inc was telling them two stoys.
That over the phone they were told that there were "no jobs " at that store,but were told at the store that there were lots of jobs!

The events at City Hall of the last few days have demonstrated once again the foolish nature of the city's budgetary process. There was grandstanding on the part of both the mayor and the supes, and acting-out by pressure groups in the board's chambers.

We all need to step back, look at the bigger picture, and develop a new approach.

I am sick and tried of some nitwit city worker blocking my way when I get off the Metro at stations downtown and demaning that I saw a fast pass!
I want this person to show me that I did not put it through a turnstile some where in the system.

According to Matier & Ross in today's Chron, Carole Migden has decided against running for supe. She says the complications of moving would be too much (link below). But she never let such complications stand in her way before, residing as she does in the East Bay.

What's the real reason? She probably has been getting feedback about her popularity in SF. It's about as high, I would guess, as the state's consolidated garbage board.
